Wins of “Steppe Wolves” in season of 2013

Sportsmen and women of race team “Astana Motors” – Steppe Wolves” again show their achievements in this year.

Young crew consisting of Peter Borodin and Roman Cheprasov again participated in Ice Rally-Sprint Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Samuryk 2013" in Astana and Pavlodar. They prevailed confident win at tough struggle in front-driven cars class.

3 stages synchronous races were in February and March in Almaty oblast; the following persons achieved high results: Vadim Lemekhov, Peter Borodin, Oleg Golovko, Valeriy Borodin, Roman Cheprasov and Vladimir Borodin finished first, second and third in different classes.

Summer season was opened at the June beginning in Astana by Autotesting Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Time Attack 2013”. Juniors of “Steppe Wolves” Aknazar Smagulov, Vadim Lemekhov and Roman Cheprasov debuted at the competitions. Unfortunately, they were not at winners' podium but they have good experience. Peter Borodin finished first.

The first stage of Gymkhana Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan was at the June beginning in Almaty. KMC "Astana Motors" with brands Subaru and Hyundai was the sponsor of the competitions. Valeriy Borodin was winner in class “Mono drive”, he drove new model Hyundai Genesis Coupe.

Team participated in traditional competition for prize “Motor Sports Veterans” at the end of June and finished first in the team event.

Speed Festival “Dongelek” was in July in Alma-Arasan Gorge close to Almaty; Speed Hill “Ayusai 2013” to the height 3340 meters was within this festival. Peter Borodin and Roman Cheprasov won in class PRO of AWD. It should be noted that Subaru models – BRZ, XV, Forester and Outback were used as safety cars.

The end of July also was successful for crew Peter Borodin – Roman Cheprasov. “Steppe Wolves” finished first at the 4th stages Motor Rally Championship of RoK “East Marathon 2013” which was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk suburb. Team participated in mountain race on asphalt roads with high complexity level in day and night time using automobile Subaru Impreza WRX STI which is in car fleet only in this season.

Meanwhile, Alexander Artemiyev representing team “Astana Motors” – Steppe Wolves” at Russia Touring Car Championship, has already finished in 4 stages, and whilst finished third in the individual event!
