In January 2011, near the international airport of Almaty, the opening of the Hyundai Trans Almaty plant took place. This event was due to the signing of a memorandum of understanding and effective cooperation between Astana Motors and Hyundai Motor Company.

Plant to produce commercial, specialized and passenger vehicles.

The territory of the enterprise is 10.13 Hectares.
The production area, including the territory of the free warehouse is 32,422 sq.m.
The number of jobs is 280 qualified specialists.

History

Since 2011, the production of commercial vehicles based on Hyundai has begun, the model range of which is represented by vehicles with a load capacity from 1.5 to 15 tons based on Hyundai chassis – flatbed trucks, insulated and manufactured goods vans, etc.

In 2016, Hyundai Trans Almaty became the official dealer of the MAZ brand in Kazakhstan.

In 2019, Hyundai Trans Almaty became the official distributor for the production and sale of Golden Dragon passenger buses in Kazakhstan, which meet all the modern needs of the urban environment - they are reliable, comfortable and economical in operation.

In 2020, Hyundai Trans Almaty became the official distributor for the production and sale of Foton trucks in Kazakhstan.

Hyundai Trans Almaty plant produces reanimobiles, buses, fire trucks, water carriers, tow trucks, trucks – thousands of units of transport for everyday life and human work.

Thanks to the established technological process and compliance with international quality standards, Hyundai Trans Almaty has successfully implemented such projects in all regions of Kazakhstan as:

1. Delivery of more than 700 ambulances within the framework of the roadmap;
2. Delivery of more than 200 school buses within the framework of the republican program;
3. Delivery of more than 800 city buses.
Since 2022, 2 lines of CKD have been launched for the production of Hyundai trucks and Golden Dragon city and school buses by the small-node method.
