The Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan Plant in Almaty celebrates a Traditional Family Day, Otbasy Kuni

More than 3,000 employees of the automobile plant and their relatives gathered at an alfresco party to celebrate the anniversary of Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan, a subsidiary of Astana Motors.
Otbasy Kuni, a traditional Family Day at the Hyundai plant in Almaty, is dedicated to the plant’s anniversary.
Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan has a team of 1,300+ employees from different regions of Kazakhstan, including engineers, welders, chemistry engineers, automotive painters, process engineers, designers and other specialists, and they have 754 children!
Over the four years of its operation, the Almaty plant has made almost 150,000 cars, and also built eleven family couples.
Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan produces ten Hyundai models. This brand tops the sales in Kazakhstan, and its bestseller is the Tucson model, produced using CKD assembly, including body welding and painting. At the beginning of 2025, the plant will transfer the Santa Fe model to CKD production.
In the near future, Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan will begin to use domestic auto components in its production — seats and multimedia systems from Astana Motors’ technology park in Almaty.
