Green Month by Chery Kazakhstan: Tree Planting Initiative Held in Almaty’s Pine Grove
On a warm May morning, employees of Chery Kazakhstan, along with journalists and influencers, gathered in one of the city’s spaces to take part in the initiative. Before the planting began, all participants were provided with the necessary equipment, including gloves, shovels, and watering buckets.
The campaign featured three-meter saplings with dense root balls to improve their chances of successful growth. Environmental specialists guided participants through every stage of the process, explaining how to properly prepare the soil, position the trees, and compact the ground to help the saplings take root.

“When you plant a tree with your own hands, you begin to see the city differently. You realize that even a small action today can eventually become something meaningful for thousands of people,” said Almaty resident, lawyer, and blogger Erzhan Yesimkhanov.
The event gained a particularly warm and family-oriented atmosphere thanks to the participation of children, who enthusiastically joined in planting and watering the trees.

“We intentionally came to Chery Green Month with our children because it’s important for us to teach them from an early age to care for nature not only through words, but through actions. It was wonderful to see how genuinely involved they were in planting the saplings and how much joy it brought them. We hope these moments stay with them and become part of their values and mindset in the future,”- shared Almaty resident and automotive blogger Saltanat Lesbek.
