Santa Fe: A combination of city life and family comfort
Hyundai Auto Kazakhstan as part of Astana Motors KMC presented a new generation of Santa Fe. The fourth-generation Hyundai Santa Fe crossover has a stylish and modern design.
A new Santa Fe vehicle combines comfort, safe driving, and carefully designed functions. A massive trapeziform grille with large cells is in the front of a vehicle and cone-shaped headlights are on the top of an engine hood. The dimensions of the fourth-generation Santa Fe have become slightly larger. The base is longer by 65 mm, and it is now 2,765 mm; the length of a new body is longer by 70 mm, and it is 4,770 mm; the width is wider by 10 mm, and it is now 1,890 mm. A vehicle’s cabin has become more spacious, letting have a more convenient access to the third row of the seats; the second row of the seats is folded with a help of a button.
The basis of the fourth-generation Santa Fe is a new high-tech platform. It is the first model from the Hyundai family with HTRAC, an advanced full drive system.
A family mid-size SUV is equipped with the latest technology, including an integrated climate control system, an adjustable driver’s seat cushion for better support as well as safety systems for passengers such as SEA (Safe Exit Assist detects an approaching vehicle and prevents a door from opening), ROA (Rear Occupant Alert informs about a passenger in the rear seat, particularly about presence of children and warns about exiting a vehicle), and One-touch walk-in.
Safe driving is achieved through the most advanced safety systems and supporting technologies. For example, the RCCA system helps to prevent back collisions while intersecting, ensuring convenient and safe parking. Smart Shift and Drive Control increase a driver’s confidence while driving.
In addition to it, the HUD projection display shows the readings on the windshield, minimizing a driver’s distraction when driving. An improved suspension increases efficiency; an optimised geometry enhances a car body’s stability and steering responsiveness and also increases lateral stiffness of the rear suspension.
The FCA function automatically puts a vehicle on the brake to prevent and reduce damage from collision with another vehicle or a pedestrian. The SCC/S&G function maintains the speed and keeps the distance between the vehicles. A Santa Fe vehicle starts moving when a vehicle ahead moves off.
We remind that the Hyundai brand has become the second global brand in Kazakhstan according to car sales. In 2018, its market share is 15%.
Currently, the company delivers Santa Fe to Kazakhstan with the following characteristics: 4x4, gasoline and diesel engines with the capacity of 2.2 and 2.4 liters, from 172 to 200 hp. The price of a vehicle in its basic configuration starts from 11,390,000 tenge.
