What Nurlan smagulov agreed with the founder of Great Wall Motor in Beijing?

Nurlan Smagulov, founder of Astana Motors, and Wei Jianjun, founder of Great Wall Motor, a major private automobile manufacturer in China, held talks.

The Kazakh businessman arrived in the Chinese capital to visit the Beijing Auto China Motor Show, as well as to discuss further development plans with international business partners.

- The market of Kazakhstan is very interesting for manufacturers from the Tianxia. And we will develop this cooperation. Today we had a meeting with the founder of Great Wall Motor, Mr. Wei. This company in Kazakhstan represents Haval cars, GWM pickups, and TANK SUVs.  Great Wall Motor is actively developing its development business, automobiles, and technologies, including green technologies, as we saw when we visited the SVOLT-branded traction battery factory, a subsidiary of GWM, for new energy vehicles.  We agreed that we will strengthen our cooperation, with plans to produce the TANK 300 model at our new multi-brand plant, which is currently under construction in Almaty,”  said Nurlan Smagulov to reporters.

The businessman also informed about the renewal of the model lineup of Great Wall Motor brands in Kazakhstan. In particular, Tank 700, the new flagship of the brand, will go on sale this year.

- This will be one of the biggest SUVs in Kazakhstan. Yesterday we took a ride on Tank 700 at the proving ground. The vehicle accelerated up to 200 km/h, which is impressive,” N. Smagulov shared.

Regarding his impressions of the Beijing Motor Show, the Kazakhstani entrepreneur drew attention to the fact that it is a major international event where advanced novelties for the whole world are demonstrated.

“China is now becoming one of the world leaders in the auto industry and is attracting a lot of attention, and it's not just Chinese brands that are represented here. More than 100 thousand people visited the Motor Show on the first day. The novelties presented here are not only for the Chinese market, but for the world market, including Kazakhstan. That is, we get the latest novelties of automotive products at the same time with the whole world,” said Nurlan Smagulov.

Great Wall Motor has been represented in Kazakhstan since April 2021. The official distributor is Haval Motor Kazakhstan, part of Astana Motors. The dealer network of Haval, Tank, GWM brands includes 20 cities of Kazakhstan, as well as online dealers.
