NURLAN SMAGULOV INFORMED THE PRESIDENT ABOUT THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE AUTO PLANT
The Head of State was informed about the execution of instructions related to further development of the domestic auto industry during the meeting.
Nurlan Smagulov reported to Nursultan Nazarbayev that Astana Motors had started the construction of the plant for producing Hyundai passenger cars in Almaty.
“The plant capacity will be 30 thousand vehicles per year during the first stage, and it will be increased to 45 thousand vehicles during the second stage. It will let saturate the Kazakhstan market with high-quality and affordable Hyundai cars and export them to the CIS countries. The total investment in the project will be 25 billion tenge. In addition to own funds, borrowed funds on commercial terms will be attracted. The opening of the plant will create 700 new workplaces,” said the Head of the company.
At the end of the meeting, N. Smagulov expressed his gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan for the continuous support for the development of Kazakhstan business and the decision on a car loan program similar to the “7-20-25” mortgage housing program.
