New Subaru Outback: Five-star safety rating

European version of next generation crossover Subaru Outback, expected to enter the market of Kazakhstan in March 2015, obtained the highest safety estimation "5 stars" in the set of crash tests by independent verifier Euro NCAP.

European version of next generation crossover Subaru Outback, expected to enter the Kazakhstan market in March 2015, obtained the highest safety estimation "5 stars" in the set of crash tests by independent verifier Euro NCAP. 

The new Outback confirmed conformance of its high-grade safety to most stringent requirements of the European test program Euro NCAP 2014. In 2009, safety test system Euro NCAP became even more stringent.

Currently, it includes such estimate categories, as "Adult occupants safety", "Safety of occupants - children", "Pedestrian safety" and "Availability of additional safety systems".

New Subaru Outback obtained the highest estimates in all four disciplines. The vehicle obtained maximum points at barrier side collision test, reliable protected all parts of body of simulated passenger (anthropometric dummy). Head cushions on front and back seats prevents whiplash injury in the event of rear element impact. Outback aced the test on protection of infant. Additionally, the front bumper provides suitable foot protection of pedestrian in all simulated events.

All standard models of new Subaru Outback are equipped with a complete set of safety bags, including an airbag for driver knee protection and side curtains, unbelted reminder function, both on front and back seats, stability management control system VDC, and also vehicle bearing frame, uniformly distributing striking energy along the whole structure. Also, the number of HSS elements was increased in new vehicle body. This allowed reduction of vehicle weight and further safety of driver and passengers.
