NEW SUBARU XV AT SOKOL RACE TRACK

A test drive of a new Subaru XV vehicle with a revolutionary Subaru EyeSight security system and an intelligent four-wheel X-MODE drive control system was held at the professional race track.

Last weekend, an official distributor of Subaru in Kazakhstan, Subaru Kazakhstan (part of Astana Motors), held a large-scale test drive of the 2018 model: Subaru XV.  The participants of the test drive tested the new model and assessed advantages of the Subaru EyeSight and X-MODE systems.

The new model combines a compact body and off-road characteristics based on the original Subaru all-wheel drive technology (Symmetrical AWD System), which makes the model an ideal companion both in a city as well as off-road. This is the first major update of the model since 2012.

The second-generation Subaru XV has a bright, dynamic design, and improved off-road characteristics: thanks to implementation of a new technical platform (the all-new Subaru Global Platform), a vehicle will become a leader in crash safety and crash avoidance. It also has a significant advantage concerning comfortable driving and handling.

Special tracks were prepared for testing a vehicle. Steep turns, speed, various obstacles, a dynamic program, and experienced instructors allowed the guests of the event to get vivid emotions and unforgettable impressions from driving Subaru XV. While driving Subaru XV, the participants felt not only the taste of drive but also appreciated the advantages of the revolutionary systems developed by the engineers of Subaru vehicles.

Thanks to its maneuverability and integrated security system, Subaru XV has been honored to receive maximum marks in safety ratings worldwide. A model of a new generation has a number of technologies that provide even greater active, passive, and preventive safety. The innovative Subaru EyeSight security system includes the functions of adaptive cruise control, automatic pre-emergency braking, warning of exiting from an occupied lane and approaching a road marking as well as active control of the movement along a lane.

EyeSight supports safe driving through an approach based on two purposes: reduction of the number of accidents caused by human error and reduction of driver fatigue. The EyeSight system monitors the situation on the road in front of a vehicle, recognizing potentially dangerous situations and helping a driver reduce the likelihood of a head-on collision. A driver assistance technology is designed to help a driver make decisions on the road.

Moreover, an intelligent four-wheel X-MODE drive control system gives a driver an absolute control over a car just with a touch of a button. The X-MODE technology corrects the operation of an engine, transmission, drive system, brakes, and other components, providing extremely confident, safe driving on difficult roads and rough terrain.
