NEW SUBARU OUTBACK AND LEGACY: KAZAKHSTAN PREMIER

18 February, official sales of new Subaru Outback and Legacy were commenced in Kazakhstan.

New crossover Outback of fifth-generation and sedan Legacy of sixth-generation are already available for Subaru brands car enthusiasts. Whilst, brands new will be available at the Russian market only at the end of summer.

For 20 years from the debut moment in 1995, Subaru Outback produced on the basis of famous brand Legacy, got international recognition due to use flexibility and optimum balance of consumer appeals – excellent handling, stability, convenience and safety. Base of these advantages is firm-specific technologies of all-wheel drive Symmetrical AWD and engines Subaru Boxer.

New Outback, developed considering the most actual clients’ requirements, was enlarged in comparison with the last model: 25mm in length, 20mm in width and 10mm in height (total length is 4815mm, width 1840mm. height 1675mm). Sedan Legacy was also enlarged. Wheelbase of both automobiles was not changed – 2745mm for Outback and 2750mm for Legacy. Passenger compartment space storage was increased almost in all key parameters.
Number of details from high-strength steel was increased in brands new body. It allowed increasing structure stiffness, reducing weight and improving passengers’ safety. Hood is from aluminum that reduces weight and increases pedestrians’ safety in case of crash.

Both new models have appeal recognizable design. Subaru style is visible in hexagon grill and distinctive front optics with C-shaped LED-elements and LED low beam. Outback harmonious appearance was added by large fog-lights giving it signs of lineal sport ethos, as well as practical details: style plastic body protection along the perimeter and powerful roof rails. Crossover clearance was increased to 220mm.

Both Outback and Legacy have comfortable and wide passenger compartment. Qualitative and ergonomic interior of brands new provides driver and passengers with modern and substantial surrounding. Special attention should be paid on large sensor display in centre console and button of electronic parking brake, as well as, soft plastic finish.
Luggage compartment is comfortable and spacious. Subaru Outback is equipped with rear seats backs, which are one-touch automatically retractable in ratio 60:40.

Four grades of new Outback and Legacy are available for Kazakhstan buyers. Base version of Subaru Legacy includes control system SI-Drive, systems of active thrust-vector control ATV and Hill Start Assist, cruise control, split climate control with air filter, audio system with color sensor screen and diagonal 6.2 inch, multifunctional steering wheel, Bluetooth Hands-free, AUX and USB connectors, heater of front and rare seats, side mirrors and wind-screen wipers, 17 inches alloy wheel rims and many other things. In addition to this fitting, Outback is usually completed with intelligent system X-Mode, which change settings of power plant and transmission in complex, as well as, Hill Descent Control.

More expensive versions of Legacy are equipped with smart entry and push start, rear view camera, leather interior, light and rain sensors, audio system Harman/Kardon of premium class with amplifiers and 12 speakers; and Outback is also equipped with location memory power operated tailgate.

Base version of Subaru Outback and Legacy are equipped with complete set of airbag, including driver’s knees protection airbag and window “curtains”, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist and VDC, as well as reinforced body frame. It is not surprising, that Outback and Legacy of 2015 model year received high safety evaluation “5 Stars” in crash tests series of reputable European Organization Euro NCAP, as well as top-grade rating of Top Safety Pick+ from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS)..

Both models are provided with effective and energy efficiency A-Line engines Subaru Boxer with capacity 2.5 liters (4 cylinders, 175 h.p., 235 Nm, city fuel economy is 10 l/100km) and 3.6 liters (6 cylinders, 260 h.p., 350Nm, city fuel economy is 14.2 l/100km). Engines are coupled only with CVT Lineartronic with paddle shifters.
