ASTANA MOTORS SUPPLIED NEW HYUNDAI H350 AMBULANCES TO NUR-SULTAN

Astana Motors has ahead of time shipped the first batch (14) emergency ambulances under the Road Map for upgrading ambulance fleets of the Republic of Kazakhstan through BRK-Leasing JSC. All in all, the Astana Motors subsidiary — Hyundai Trans Auto — will deliver to 14 regions of the country 341 Hyundai H350 Ambulances supplied with advanced German and Italian medical equipment — defibrillators, lung ventilators, electrocardiographs, etc.

The vehicle meets the technical regulations of the Customs Union, requirements of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan for passenger vehicles and the Euro-5 environment standards.

“We have purchased 114 vehicles for the ambulance station and the Police Department! Sixty-five of them have been already delivered to the police, and 14 vehicles — to the ambulance station. The station will receive 35 vehicles more by the end of the year. We have earlier delivered over 50 ambulances to them. Thus, the ambulance station fleet has increased almost two and a half times within less than a year. (In December last year, the fleet comprised 64 vehicles, and now it is going to have 165 vehicles),” akim of the capital Altai Kulginov said.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for upgrading the ambulance fleet, which is 57% outdated (according to the Association of Kazakhstan Automobile Business), has risen sharply. As instructed by the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Astana Motors has stepped up the manufacture of Hyundai H350 Ambulances to be provided to ambulance services ahead of the contract schedule.

“Hyundai H350 Ambulance is a high-tech ambulance vehicle supplied with high-class medical equipment customized for the weather conditions of various regions of Kazakhstan. The vehicle is easy to maintain, however it is fit for heavy duty given the increased workload on ambulance services,”  Beknur Nessipbayev, Astana Motors General Director, said.

First Hyundai H350 Ambulance assembled in Kazakhstan rolled off the Hyundai Trans Auto production line in March 2018. For the two years, the plant manufactured 370 ambulance vehicles. Among them, 185 Hyundai H350 Ambulances were supplied to medical facilities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent in 2019. The model has proved itself on the world market to be a safe, reliable, practical and functional high-powered vehicle which is comfortable for both patients and staff. Those who use it note that the vehicle rides smoothly, which is important for patient transportation, benefits from an air conditioner and heating system, LED lighting, fuel saving. The manufacturing plant issues a warranty for Hyundai H350 Ambulance for three years or 150 thousand km as well as provides post-warranty maintenance in Astana Motors authorized dealer centers. The warranty period for medical equipment is 37 months after the date of commissioning.

In 2020, according to the Association of Kazakhstan Automobile Business, domestic manufacturer will supply a total of 1,167 new ambulance vehicles to cities and regions under the Road Map through BRK-Leasing.

It is worth reminding that the Road Map was approved in 2019, under which health departments of regional akimats and cities of republican status can upgrade their fleet under preferential conditions through leasing funding from BRK-Leasing JSC.

To date, out of 341 H350 Ambulances Astana Motors delivered 14 vehicles to Nur-Sultan under the leasing contract. Another 327 vehicles will be shipped to regions in the short run.
