KOSTANAY PROVIDES AMBULANCE STATIONS WITH NEW HYUNDAI H350 AMBULANCE VEHICLES FROM ASTANA MOTORS
The ambulance fleet of Kostanay region was supplied with 26 Hyundai H350 Ambulances manufactured by the domestic plant Hyundai Trans Auto (a subsidiary of Astana Motors).
The ceremony of delivery of the vehicles to healthcare facilities was attended by Kostanay region akim Arkhimed Mukhambetov.
According to the Kostanay region akimat, today the region’s population is 872 thousand people. Three hundred twenty people live in Kostanay. The regional ambulance station comprises a total of 23substations, including 6 city substations (Kostanay, Rudny, Arkalyk, Lissakovsk, Zhitikara, Tobyl) and 17 rural substations (Altynsarin, Amangeldy, Auliyekol, Denissov, Jangeldy, Kamysty, Karabalyk, Karasu, Kachar, Kushmurun, Mendykara, Nauruzum, Oktyabr, Sarykol, Uzunkol, Taranov, Fyodorov). In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the upgrade of ambulance fleets and provision of additional vehicles is of top priority in all the regions of the country. In this regard, Astana Motors has stepped up manufacturing of Hyundai H350 Ambulances in order to deliver the vehicles to the ambulance stations as soon as possible. Twenty-six Hyundai H350 Ambulances will be allocated among all the districts and single-industry towns of Kostanay region.
“Hyundai H350 Ambulances are fitted with equipment based on the lessons we have learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically, the amount of oxygen has been increased (24 liters), which enables transportation of a patient undergoing continuous lung ventilation from any location within the region to the regional center. Vehicles are equipped with a focus on patients with respiratory diseases in acute conditions. In addition, the vehicle benefits from more advanced defibrillators with a higher safety factor. Weather conditions in our region are also taken into account, the instrumentation properly functions in the range of temperatures from -30°C to +30°C,” Irina Steigerwald, Chief Physician of the Kostanay regional ambulance station, says.
Hyundai H350 Ambulance is a high-tech vehicle fitted with advanced medical equipment made in Germany and Italy. The vehicle is easy to maintain, however it is fit for heavy duty given the increased workload on ambulance services. The manufacturing plant issues a warranty for Hyundai H350 Ambulance for three years or 150 thousand km as well as provides post-warranty maintenance in Astana Motors authorized dealer centers. The warranty period for medical equipment is 37 months after the date of commissioning. The vehicle meets the technical regulations of the Customs Union, requirements of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan for passenger vehicles and the Euro-5 environment standards.
It should be reminded that on September 22 Astana Motors started to deliver emergency ambulances ahead of time throughout Kazakhstan under the Road Map for upgrading ambulance fleets of the country through BRK-Leasing JSC. All in all, the Astana Motors subsidiary — Hyundai Trans Auto — will deliver to 14 regions of the country 341 Hyundai H350 Ambulances supplied with advanced German and Italian medical equipment — defibrillators, lung ventilators, electrocardiographs, etc.
To date, out of 341 H350 Ambulances Astana Motors delivered 14 vehicles to Nur-Sultan, 18 — to Petropavlovsk, 26 — to Kostanay region. Another 283 ambulance vehicles will be shipped to regions in the short run.
