CHERY BECAME A SPONSOR OF THE PARALYMPIC COMMITTEE OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN
In mid-October, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in Almaty between the National Paralympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Chery automobile brand, represented by Astana Motors. Chery became the official sponsor of the Paralympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The trilateral memorandum was signed by Kairat Boranbayev, President of the National Paralympic Committee of Kazakhstan, Zhu Shandong, Vice President of Chery International, and Beknur Nesipbayev, General Director of Astana Motors.
“It is extremely important for every athlete to feel supported both by the state and businesses. Chery’s support is not only driving us to move forward but also gives an opportunity for the younger generation of athletes to believe in themselves and achieve success,” Dastan Mukashbekov, bronze medalist of the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, pointed out.
According to the Memorandum, the key areas of cooperation included the development and support of social projects aimed at improving conditions for people with disabilities and holding of the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Paralympic Sports with prizes for the winners under Chery’s auspices.
“The Memorandum signed with Chery is an important step for the development of the Paralympic movement in Kazakhstan. This partnership will help our athletes achieve further success and will continue to develop inclusive projects, creating better conditions for people with disabilities,” Kairat Boranbayev, President of the National Paralympic Committee of Kazakhstan, said.
The event dedicated to the signing of the memorandum was attended by para-athletes: Dayana Fedosova, Master of Sports of International Class in para-judo, bronze medalist of the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, two-time bronze medalist of the World Championships, bronze medalist of the 2022 Asian Paralympic Games in Hangzhou; Nurdaulet Zhumagali, Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan in paraswimming, bronze medalist of the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, silver medalist of the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, record holder of Asia and the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris; Dastan Mukashbekov, bronze medalist of the World Shot Put Championships, champion of the 2023 Asian Paralympic Games in Hangzhou, bronze medalist of the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, Asian record holder in shot put; and Zhurkamyrza Shukurbekov, Master of Sports of International Class in para judo, multiple winner of the World Grand Prix, bronze medalist of the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris.
“Paralympic athletes always show honorable performance in international competitions, and all Kazakhstanis are proud of them. Now it is time for us not only to follow your success and be proud of you but also to support the Paralympic movement in Kazakhstan. We hope that our cooperation will be beneficial for Kazakhstani Paralympians,” Beknur Nesipbayev, General Director of Astana Motors, said to the athletes.
