The Hyundai IONIQ 5 electric car – charged and ready to hit the roads in Kazakhstan

The long-awaited Hyundai IONIQ 5 electric car has arrived in Kazakhstan.

“We can see growing interest in electric cars in Kazakhstan and are pleased to present the IONIQ 5 all-electric four-wheel drive crossover, the crown jewel of Hyundai. The car is imported from Korea and can be purchased at authorized dealerships with the manufacturer’s warranty. The arrival of the Hyundai electric car is sure to promote the development of charging infrastructure in Kazakhstan. As for us, we equipped all Hyundai dealerships in Almaty with charging stations, and in September we will complete equipping our car dealerships in Astana with charging stations,” said Marat Smagulov, Director of Hyundai Distribution in Kazakhstan, which is part of Astana Motors.

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 costs 28,590,000 tenge in the Eco configuration, along with 5 free maintenances at authorized Hyundai dealerships.

The best, fastest, and all-electric

The IONIQ 5 has won the prestigious World Car Awards three times as the World Car of the Year, the World Electric Car of the Year, and the World Automotive Design of the Year.

The new Hyundai Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) boasts faster charging, a longer range of 460 km, more interior space, and better handling.

The IONIQ 5 is fast and powerful. The four-wheel drive version takes only 5.2 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h, with a maximum speed of 185 km/h.

Two electric motors are integrated with the front and rear axles (305 hp and a torque of 605 N·m) to provide a comfortable and dynamic ride in the city and beyond.

How to charge the IONIQ 5?

You can charge the car at charging stations available in parking lots at dealerships, malls, and residential complexes. The charging time is 30 to 90 minutes depending on the power of the charging station. You can find the nearest station using electronic city maps and navigators.

The car can also be charged at home: the battery charging time using a house socket is 6 hours.

The IONIQ 5 regenerative braking system charges the battery while the car is driving, using the electric motor to slow down the vehicle.

In addition, the car itself can work as a power plant. Even with the engine off, the Vehicle-to-Load technology allows you to connect a laptop, camping equipment, and any gadgets to the electric car through an adapter.

Ultimate comfort and environmental friendliness

You will be surprised to learn that this stylish and luxurious car is made of environmentally friendly and recycled materials. Eco-friendly materials were used for the interior trim: eco-leather dyed with plant extracts, materials from sugar cane, wool, recycled plastic. All these are environmentally friendly, safe, and durable.

With its dimensions the IONIQ 5 is comparable to mid-size crossovers, such as the Hyundai Tucson. The IONIQ 5 measures 4635 mm long, 1890 mm wide, and 1647 mm high.

A large wheelbase of 3000 mm sets the IONIQ 5 apart from similar-sized crossovers. It is greater than in the Hyundai Palisade.

The car is equipped with a premium BOSE audio system to delight you with impeccable sound.

Smart and safe

The Hyundai Smart Sense electronic assistants include the latest functions for comfortable, accident-free driving.
