RoK Disaster Medicine and Emergency Situations Center was supplied with new batch of reanimation ambulance cars

14 new reanimation ambulance cars of domestic manufacture were transferred to State Institution “Disaster Medicine and Emergency Situations Center” by RoK Ministry for Emergency Situations (RoK MES), on 17 October in Astana.

Transfer of reanimation ambulance cars is performed within Government Program of Health Development “Salamatty Kazakhstan in 2011-2015” and RoK MES project Route Medical and Rescue Points developed in conjunction with SI “Disaster Medicine and Emergency Situations Center”.

Route Medical and Rescue Points of all the Republic of Kazakhstan regions envisage provision of new domestic manufacture reanimation ambulance cars. Transferred special vehicles will be operated at dangerous road sections and alignments of republican status for emergency response during road traffic accident or emergency.

Reanimation ambulance cars are manufactured at incomplete vehicle manufacturer “KMC “Astana Motors” in Almaty on bus Hyundai County basis according to special order of MES. Rather than standard ambulances, new reanimation ambulance cars for emergency response allow simultaneously evacuate at least 5 injured persons. Reanimation ambulance car with length 7.5 meters has extra high roof that facilitates work of medical personnel during resuscitation implementation.

“Cars are equipped with the latest medical and rescue equipment of American and European manufacturers, also equipped with special equipment for backpack life-support system, i.e., power stations, PCs, GPS and satellite telephony. Moreover, standard model of reanimation ambulance car was developed, at the Client’s request, by adding tailgates for litter loading efficiency. 2 years or 50 000 km of run manufacturer's warranty is provided for all automobiles” – said Shalkar Nurtleuov, representative of KMC “Astana Motors”.

Proportion of Kazakh Content during reanimation ambulance cars manufacturing was v due to labor costs for modification of standard model and its reanimation ambulance car conversion according to MES requirements.

In 2012, RoK MES purchased 6 reanimation ambulance cars on Hyundai County basis, in 2013 – 14 cars. It is planned to purchase at least 14 units of the similar special vehicles next year. Totally, it is planned to deliver 48 similar reanimation ambulance cars within this project.
