KAZAKHSTAN-MADE HYUNDAI CARS SHOWN AT THE SPECA EXHIBITION IN AZERBAIJAN

The Kazakh company Astana Motors took part in the exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) and the national economies of the participating countries. SPECA includes Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. This year the exhibition is taking place in Baku (Azerbaijan). The economic forum “Transforming the SPECA region into a connectivity hub with global reach” was also held as part of SPECA. The forum is dedicated to increasing the role of transport links in the face of new challenges in the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TMTM) between Europe and China.

At the exhibition, the company was represented by the authorized Hyundai distributor in Kazakhstan (Hyundai Auto Kazakhstan) and the Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan passenger car production plant.

Visitors to the exhibition could view the Hyundai Tucson, Hyundai Santa Fe, Hyundai Palisade and Hyundai Staria models made in Kazakhstan.

Founded in 2003, Hyundai Auto Kazakhstan sells cars and also provides warranty and post-warranty service.

Hyundai Auto Kazakhstan has a broad dealer network throughout Kazakhstan – 23 dealerships in Astana, Almaty, Aktobe, Aktau, Atyrau, Karaganda, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Pavlodar, Petropavlovsk, Uralsk, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Shymkent, Taldykorgan, Kokshetau, Semey, Taraz , Ekibastuz.

The Hyundai brand is the market leader (25.9%) in Kazakhstan, according to the results of the first 10 months of 2023. 38,433 units were sold from January to October 2023, up 71% compared to the same period in 2022 (22,435 units). 28,864 Hyundai cars were sold in Kazakhstan in 2022.

The model range includes:

  • passenger cars: ACCENT, ELANTRA, i20, i30, SONATA
  • crossovers: BAYON, SANTA FE, TUCSON, PALISADE
  • minivans: STARIA
  • electric cars: Hyundai IONIQ 5

All models, except the Hyundai IONIQ 5 electric car, are made by Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan in Almaty.
