Astana Motors and Genesis Announce Official Launch of Their Luxury Brand on Kazakhstani Market

Genesis Global entrusts representation of the brand in Kazakhstan to Genesis Auto Kazakhstan, an Astana Motors company. A day earlier, The Ritz-Carlton Almaty has hosted a gala reception to honor the official launch of the luxury brand’s story in Central Asia.

Founded in November 2015 in the Republic of Korea (Seoul), Genesis has won recognitions of luxury customers on key markets including Europe, USA, Canada, China, Australia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other countries. Currently, the brand’s global sales exceed 1 million 260 thousand units. Now, Genesis is officially represented in Central Asia.

At the ceremonial launch of Genesis in Kazakhstan, Mr. Lee, gives an exclusive interview to Diyas Valikhan, Kazakhstani automotive expert, to talk about the brand’s logo, parallel lines of twin headlights which symbolize a pair of soaring wings flying open from the legendary grille. The Genesis design philosophy comes from the Athletic Elegance concept which signifies a combination of dynamics and elegance.
SangYup Lee has a remarkable 30-year experience in automotive design starting with Porsche and engaging in development of the first-generation Cayenne.

The ceremony in honor of the brand’s official launch in the region at The Ritz-Carlton Almaty has also seen the official distributor’s presentation for the Kazakhstani market of their upgraded models, Genesis GV80 SUV and Genesis G80 sedan, bestseller of the brand with over 390 thousand units sold around the world including the EV model.

Currently, the Genesis range available in Kazakhstan includes G70, G70 Shooting Brake, G80, GV70, GV80, and GV80 Coupe. In 2025, the official distributor will be launching the G90 sedan.
Prices for Genesis vehicles in Kazakhstan start from KZT 20 million depending on the model and specifications.
Genesis showrooms in Astana and Almaty have already opened their doors for customers. The brand’s showroom in the capital can be found on the left bank of Astana at Talan Gallery in Dostyk Street. The Almaty showroom is located at Esentai Tower in Al-Farabi Avenue, a major central avenue of the metropolis.
