Kazakh Golfers Earn Places at the BMW Golf Cup World Final in South Africa

On 28 May, Almaty hosted the BMW Golf Cup Kazakhstan 2026, the first official BMW golf tournament held in Kazakhstan. Taking place at the Zhaylyau Golf Resort, the event became one of the highlights of the country’s golfing season.

For the first time, Kazakhstan hosted a qualifying tournament of the international BMW Golf Cup series. The winners earned the right to represent Kazakhstan at the BMW Golf Cup World Final 2026 in South Africa.
The event was organised by BMW Kazakhstan, part of Astana Motors. The awards ceremony was led by Astana Motors founder Nurlan Smagulov.

In the special categories, Rita Polozhentseva and Kairat Mami won the Longest Drive awards, while Ayagoz Abitayeva and Bagdat Manzorov won the Nearest to the Pin competition.
The Best Gross titles, awarded to the tournament’s top-performing players, went to Liya Kan and Serimzhan Dosumov.
In the Stableford Net Ladies category, Ayagoz Abitayeva finished third, Aliya Salybekova took second place, and Gulzhamash Zaitbekova claimed the title. In the Stableford Net Men category, Nartay Dutbayev finished third, Kazhmurat Uskenbayev placed second, and Akhmetzhan Yesimov took first place.

As tournament champions, Gulzhamash Zaitbekova and Akhmetzhan Yesimov will represent Kazakhstan at the BMW Golf Cup World Final 2026, scheduled to take place in South Africa in March 2027.
BMW will provide a full hospitality package for the finalists, including business-class flights, VIP transfers in BMW vehicles, and accommodation at a five-star hotel.
